dc.description.abstractO melanoma maligno é considerado o câncer de pele mais agressivo devido a sua evolução rápida e risco de metastatizar. O diagnóstico e tratamento precoces podem salvar a vida do paciente, e os fatores biológicos de cada subtipo de melanoma devem ser estudados para melhor manejo do paciente. Atualmente, já se sabe que o melanoma do subtipo nodular é o mais agressivo devido sua evolução vertical rápida, com componente epidérmico pouco importante, mas componente dérmico importante, o que aumenta o risco de metástase linfonodal e hematogênica. Características clínicas, histopatógicas, dermatoscópicas e biológicas podem ajudar com diagnóstico e consequente tratamento desses pacientespt_BR

dc.terms.abstractMalignant melanoma is considered the most aggressive skin cancer due to its rapid evolution and risk of metastasizing. Early diagnosis and treatment can save the patient's life, and the biological factors of each melanoma subtype must be studied for better patient management. Currently, it is known that nodular subtype melanoma is the most aggressive due to its rapid vertical evolution, with a minor epidermal component but an important dermal component, which increases the risk of lymph node and hematogenous metastasis. Clinical, histopathological, dermoscopic and biological characteristics can help with the diagnosis and subsequent treatment of these patients.pt_BR
