“Tenho que Ser Maior do que Isso”: Narrativas de Mulheres com Câncer de Mama em Quimioterapia Neoadjuvante

Abstract

O adoecimento e tratamento oncológico repercutem na vida das pessoas, inclusive quando se trata da quimioterapia. Para o câncer de mama, essa indicação feita antes do tratamento cirúrgico, recebe o nome de quimioterapia neoadjuvante. Para as mulheres que passam por esse tratamento ainda há um espaço reduzido, para que elas possam falar sobre a sua vivência. Por isto, o objetivo desta pesquisa foi de buscar compreender a vivência de mulheres com câncer de mama em quimioterapia neoadjuvante, através de suas narrativas de vida. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, descritiva, transversal e de caráter exploratório, na qual se realizou uma análise narrativa temática segundo Riessman(2001) sobre as biografias contadas oralmente pelas participantes. Suas narrativas trazem notícias sobre como lidam com essa e o que acontece em suas histórias quando se deparam com o diagnóstico oncológico. Esta pesquisa foi aprovada pelo comitê de ética, CAAE: 56110816.7.0000.5274. As participantes contam sobre um estranhamento no corpo, que nem sempre as leva a suspeita ou a busca por um esclarecimento. As narradoras trazem como a cena do diagnóstico as coloca diante de um limite para o qual elas constroem saídas criativas, para seguir suas histórias de vida. As entrevistadas falam do que as move, para que possam enfrentar um tratamento, cujos efeitos colaterais, sejam aqueles previstos ou não, interfere em suas vidas. Nossa pesquisa traz notícias sobre a relevância de conhecermos a construção e reconstrução da história de vida e da imagem corporal diante do adoecimento e tratamento oncológicos, particularmente a quimioterapia neoadjuvante para o câncer de mama.

The Illness and the oncology treatment reveberate in a significative way on the people's life, including when a chemotherapy happens. To the breast cancer, this treatment can be precribed before the surgery (neoadjuvant chemotherapy). But for the women who pass throught it, there is still space for they can say to the science about theirs experience in this treatment. That's why the objctive of this research was to look forwad to understand the breast cancer women's experience at neoadjuvant chemotherapy. It's an exploratory transversal descritive qualitative research in which a thematic narrative analysis as described by Riessman(2001) about their oral biography was made. This research was approved by the ethical comitee, CAAE: 56110816.7.0000.5274. In theirs narrative, they brought some clues about the journey that happens when they faced the cancer. They told about stranging their body, that not always lead them to suspect nor to seek for a diagnose. They brought out the scene from the diagnose, in which they faced a limit over what they build some criativitely way out to keep their story going. They said about the strength they need to copy the illness and the treatment as well, whose side effects, foresighted or not, interfere in their lifes. Others they about the surgery's expectations, such as a possibility to get away from that part of their bodies where they locate their cancer. In theirs narratives, they also tried to make boundaries to the illness's expasion above theirs lives and reassure themselves in life, even if they have to use a veil to cover theirselves from others. In summary, this research gives some clues about the relevance of a construction and reconstruction of theirs biography and body image at the illness and the breast cancer's neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
