Os significados do tratamento quimioterápico pediátrico na perspectiva das mães: Uma visão fenomenológica à luz de Schütz

Abstract

Objetivo: Compreender os significados do tratamento quimioterápico pediátrico na perspectiva das mães. Método: A Fenomenologia Social de Alfred Schütz em que foram entrevistadas 13 mães que acompanhavam seus filhos em tratamento ambulatorial, no período de junho a setembro de 2016 no hospital oncológico. Resultados: A análise compreensiva dos dados permitiu a identificação das categorias “Lutar para a cura e esperar pelo fim do tratamento”, identificada como motivo-para e, “A partir do sentimento de amor, durante a quimioterapia as mães passam a viver para o filho”, como motivo-porque. Conclusão: Identificou-se as ações típicas destas mães, que com o propósito de buscar a cura de seus filhos os acompanham com sentimentos conflitantes e alteração em suas atitudes naturais. Implicações para a prática: Tais resultados trazem subsídios ao cuidado de enfermagem por assim buscar compreender o mundo da vida destas mães e contudo as necessidades do binômio mãe-filho em tratamento contra o câncer

Objective: Understand the meanings of chemotherapy treatment pediatric from the perspective of mothers. Method: The Social Phenomenology of Alfred Schütz in which 13 mothers were interviewed who accompanied their children in outpatient treatment, from june to september, 2016 at the cancer hospital. Results: Comprehensive analysis of the data allowed the identification of the categories "Fight for cure and wait for the end of treatment", identified as motive-for and, "From the feeling of love, during chemotherapy the mothers begin to live for the son". Conclusion: It was identified the typical actions of these mothers, who with the purpose of seeking the healing of their children accompany them with conflicting feelings and alteration in their natural attitudes. Implications for practice: These results provide support for nursing care as to seek to understand the world of life of these mothers and yet the needs of the mother-child binomial in cancer treatment.
