dc.description.abstractA comunicação se apresenta como uma medida terapêutica importante na assistência oncológica, sobretudo em relação aos pacientes com indicação para os Cuidados Paliativos no INCA. Sabe-se que o câncer é uma doença crônica e progressiva que se apresenta no cenário internacional suscitando preocupação na vida cotidiana como o receio da perda da independência, o descontrole sobre a dor humana e o medo da finitude nas pessoas que se encontram fora de possibilidade terapêutica de cura. Uma competência central do Serviço Social é o acolhimento aos pacientes oncológicos e sua rede de cuidados. Intenta-se compreender as concepções sobre os Cuidados Paliativos elaboradas por profissionais de saúde de nível superior, que atuam na unidade de Cuidados Paliativos, e a identificar temas relevantes para um adequado processo de acolhimento na perspectiva do Serviço Social. Buscou-se amparo na pesquisa qualitativa, sendo realizadas entrevistas (semiestrutura) com os profissionais da equipe multidisciplinar que atuam ou já atuaram no Posto Avançado do HCIV, com base na teoria de Representação Social alinhada à corrente de interpretação marxista. Os dados foram coletados entre os dias 29 de agosto a 11 de outubro de 2017, o tipo de amostra foi não probabilística intencional e utilizou-se da análise temática de conteúdo. Identificou-se três eixos temáticos: Concepções de Acolhimento e Cuidados Paliativos; Representação Social e Cuidados Paliativos e Comunicação e Cuidados Paliativos. A comunicação em Cuidados Paliativos deve ser informativa, sensível e possível. Existe uma associação entre a comunicação e o processo de humanização na assistência à saúde e os paliativistas exercitam em seu cotidiano. As estratégias de aperfeiçoamento da comunicação direcionada aos Cuidados Paliativos devem estar inseridas em um processo de Educação Continuada e Permanente. Por fim, pode-se afirmar que os Cuidados Paliativos são um lócus privilegiado de intervenção para o Serviço Social.pt_BR

dc.terms.abstractCommunication is an important therapeutic measure in cancer care, especially in relation to patients with indication for Palliative Care at INCA. It is known that cancer is a chronic and progressive disease that presents itself in the international scene raising concern in daily life as the fear of losing independence, the lack of control over human pain and fear of finitude in people who are out of possibility healing therapy. A central competence of the Social Service is the care of oncology patients and their network of care. It is intended to understand the concepts of Palliative Care elaborated by higher level health professionals working in the Palliative Care unit, and the identification of relevant themes for an adequate reception from the perspective of the Social Work. It was sought support in the qualitative research, being conducted interviews (semistructure) with the professionals of the multidisciplinary team that work or already acted in the Advanced Post of HCIV, based on the theory of Social Representation aligned with the current of Marxist interpretation. The data were collected from August 29 to October 11, 2017, the type of sample was intentional non-probabilistic and was used content thematic analysis. Three thematic axes were identified: Host Conceptions and Palliative Care; Social Representation and Palliative Care and Communication and Palliative Care. Communication in Palliative Care should be informative, sensitive and possible. There is an association between communication and the process of humanization in health care and the palliativists exercise in their daily lives. The strategies for improving communication directed to Palliative Care should be part of a Continuing and Permanent Education process. Finally, it can be affirmed that Palliative Care is a privileged locus of intervention for Social Work.pt_BR
