comprometer a qualidade do resultado. Cytological stains are as important as screening, and the quality of it is a key point between the positive and negative result. Every material fixed in alcohol is subjected to a series of dilutions to the preparation of basic dyes with cationic substrates and acids with anionic substrate. In addition to the routine technique Papsed there are two others, also routine, to be used in a laboratory that are Shorr with results similar to that of Papanicolaou and excellent for hormonal cytology and may-grunwald giemsa that differs from the previous ones, composed of neutral dyes and blush peripheral blood cells. Problems of poor fixation, dye instability, microbial or chemical contamination and precipitate formation can impair blade reading. The ecological modification of the Papanicolaou technique was developed aiming at reducing environmental damage and substantially allowing the reduction or elimination of carcinogenic reactives such as the removal of substances such as xilol and acids. Due to the growth of cancer control screening, staining is increasingly less profitable, time-consuming and complicated, requiring more simplified and inexpensive methods and without compromising the quality of the result.
